Marcos' father and his 2 uncles inherited Sítio Panelão in the 1960s.


His father alone ran the business from the 1970s, with the first 1,000 coffee trees planted in 72. Marcos started helping his father in his teens and at the age of 18 he took over the business, which expanded in the last few years in 3 more small properties nearby.
