About the Estate
About this Traceability

Fazenda Samambaia is a centennial farm located in one of the best places for

coffeegrowing in the Volcanic Micro Region of Poços de Caldas - Brazil. The farm

is anheritage of Carlos Mosconi grandfather, Mr. Alcides Mosconi, and today are

conducted by Carlos and his sons, who represents fourth-generation coffee

farming family.

 

This farm won in the crop 2014/2015 - for the second consecutive year - 

the Coffee Quality Contest of Andradas, one of the municipalities of this

micro region. 

 

Altitude: 1200m       I      Area: 25 hectares of coffee plantation

 

Harvesting System: hand picked      I     Dry-process: natural 

 

​Varieties: catuai, mundo novo, yellow bourbon, catucai.

 

​Social Responsibility: More than 15 families depend directly on this Estate

 

Production average of speciaty green coffees per year: 250 (60kg bags)

 

​Awards: Twice 1st place at the Andradas Coffee Quality Contest, crops 2013/2014 and 2014/2015.
